Geographical Advantage

Average transit times of 14-18 days to the U.S. and 14-22 days to Europe, typically 2-5 weeks faster than East Africa and Asia. Ghana’s Port of Tema is among the most efficient ports in the region.

Duty-Free Exports

Duty-free exports to the U.S. under AGOA (15-32% cost reduction) and to the EU under EPA (up to 12% cost reduction). Particularly strong duty advantages (up to 32%) for synthetic fabrics.

Abundant Workforce

Abundant labor force seeking good jobs at statutory minimum wages 5x lower than China and 3x lower than Kenya. Native English speaking population of 28 million, 57% of whom are under 25 years.

Peaceful & Democratic

Ghana is consistently rated as among the most peaceful, transparent and stable countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Stable democracy with a 30-year track record of peaceful elections.

Business Climate

Consistently ranked 1st in West Africa in the World Bank’s annual Ease of Doing Business ratings. Robust industrial policies and targeted investment promotion support.

Gateway To West Africa

Ghana’s central location, infrastructure and political stability make it a gateway to the broader West African region. Duty-free regional trade across neighbors via ECOWAS and the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA).

Sustainability Focus

Building a Circular Apparel Ecosystem in West Africa

We are committed to transforming the fashion industry by integrating eco-conscious practices across our entire value chain, paving the way for a revolutionary circular fashion economy in the region.

Sustainable Textile Production

Charisma Fashion Ghana is working towards establishing a modern, eco-conscious fabric production facility in West Africa.

This innovative, low-water textile mill will enable us to design and produce high-quality fabrics locally, giving us full control over customization, quality, and faster delivery to both local and international markets.

Yarn Processing & Fabric Development

We are exploring strategic partnerships with global leaders in fiber production and yarn processing to strengthen the textile value chain in the region.

Through these collaborations, we aim to support consistent, high-quality yarn supply that feeds directly into our fabric production, ensuring efficiency and scalability.

Garment & Plastic Waste Recycling

Ghana receives millions of second-hand garments every week, creating both environmental challenges and opportunities.

Charisma Fashion Ghana is committed to turning this challenge into value by partnering with recycling innovators to convert textile and plastic waste into reusable raw materials, such as fiber-grade PET, supporting sustainable yarn and fabric production.
